12/11/2018 - Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Due to expansion, Romaquip have the following opportunity to become part of their engineering team, a role which will offer a challenging but rewarding career in the design and manufacture of innovative and bespoke equipment in waste recycling and winter maintenance.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this role involves researching and developing designs from concepts through to manufacturing and implementation, and working with a Quality Management System on new and existing projects.
The successful candidate will form part of the engineering team, working on new designs, and continuous improvements, producing and maintaining 3D CAD models, manufacturing drawings, and engineering documentation; including BOMs, Assembly drawings, Revision documents, Technical manuals, and necessary Quality documents.

The minimum required qualifications are:

·         Degree in Engineering (preferable Mechanical)

·         3D CAD experience (SolidEdge, SolidWorks)

·         Experience working with a Quality Management System e.g. ISO 9001

Other desirable skills/experience:

·         Proficient in Excel, and Office programs, and capable of producing technical documents quickly

·         Experience in manufacturing environment, and Quality Management

·         Experience with CAM (Computer Aided Manufacturing)

·         Understanding of hydraulic systems, and experience in hydraulic design

·         Experience with electronic control systems (particularly CAN systems)

The ideal candidate will also:

·         Be a good communicator, and be capable of managing projects

·         Be capable of working within tight deadlines, and delivering results

·         Perform well as part of a team

12/11/2018 - Auto Electrician/Electrical Fitter

Romaquip are currently seeking to recruit an experienced auto electrician. The successful candidate will be part of a team responsible for assembly and installation of CAN bus control systems in municipal trucks. Typical work includes the manufacture of wiring harnesses, fitting of lights, sensors, cameras, switches, testing, and problem solving.

This is a full-time position with a standard 39 week, overtime available on occasion.

12/11/2018 - Stores Manager

Duties to include

  • Maintaining a clean, tidy, and organised store (and satellite stores)

  • Monitor Stock levels, including lead times and usage patterns.

  • Accepting Deliveries and Shipping goods and all related paperwork.

  • Delivering assembly parts throughout factory to relevant zones.

  • Implementing improvements in Stores department.

  • Management of stores operatives and their work tasks.


  • Attention to detail

  • Excellent computer skills a necessity (Knowledge of ERP systems advantageous)

  • Good communication skills required.

  • Strong personality who has the ability to work in a busy and pressurized production department

  • The ability to prioritise workload.

 Ideal Candidate must have experience in store management. Experience in automotive/engineering industry would be a distinct advantage.

This is a full time permanent position.
