36th British-Irish Council Summit

Last week Romaquip were honoured to be part of the 36th British-Irish Council Summit where the First Minister of Wales, Mark Drakeford and An Taoiseach Micheál Martin were on hand to view the latest product offering from Romaquip, the RQ-E fully electric Kerb-Sort recycling vehicle.

The first fleet of these will be delivered to Conwy Council, North Wales. Mounted on a DAF LF, and fully electrified by Romaquip, our new range of electric vehicles with numerous configurations which all retain the high-quality build associated with Romaquip while also providing the complete solution will ensure our existing and new customers can easily achieve their #Netzero carbon goals.

All who attended the summit got to view the RQ-E in action and nobody was disappointed with the quality, innovation and ingenuity of the vehicle.

Since 2011, Welsh Authorities have purchased 170+ Romaquip Kerb-Sort vehicles and earlier this month the Welsh Government announced Wales’s recycling rate has reached a new record high of 65.4%. This enhances and further proves our reputation as being the no. 1 supplier of choice of Kerb-Side recycling vehicles to the UK market.

Wales is a very important market to Romaquip and we have been supplying high quality innovative Winter Maintenance and Kerb-Sort Recycling Vehicles to Wales for many years. We look forward to being part of the collaboration to achieve #Netzero ambitions and delivering on the actions set out in the Shared Statement and Joint Action Plan between Ireland & Wales.
